SOUS Project Life Challenge - Buttons

If you are looking for my SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Going Somewhere, just scroll down please. Hello everyone! And welcome to my blog. I want to first apologize for being so late with this post. I old computer crashed on me and I had to wait to get my new computer to do it. Plus we are getting ready to go on vacation and my mind has been somewhere else lately. But here it is. This weeks SOUS Challenge was to use buttons on your Project Life spread. I love using buttons on all things scrapbooking but I have to admit that I have never used them on my Project Life pages until now. I simply used them as boarders, accents, and even as the number 26 (this was my favorite part). Buttons are pretty versatile and can be used pretty much anywhere. You can use different sizes and colors. I simply dumped out my button holders and got to work. Sometimes I will put thread through them too. Buttons always seem to finish off a page. So come on and give this pretty easy challenge a try. And to make the incentive for doing this great challenge even greater we have a sponsor this month and here is your prize:
 July Sponsor

I prize was generously donated by one of our design team members Helen. So please come join us at SOUS and give this fun challenge a go. I think you will be very pleased with how your Project Life pages will come out just by adding some beautiful buttons. Thanks so much for coming to my blog and looking. Have a great day! :)

SOUS Die Cut Challenge - Going Somewhere

Welcome back to my blog! I hope you are having a great day. Today I am showing a card that I made following the SOUS Die Cut Challenge "Going Somewhere". This is a great challenge that has tremendous possibilities on what to do. I chose the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge from Cricut for my die cut. I love Hello Kitty and when I saw this airplane cut I knew I had to do it for this challenge. It can be a hard cut if you cut too small as the nose and bow are pretty little so I cut mine out at 4". I also used my Cuttlebug for the background to imitate air flow. I think it came out really cute. Here are the details:

  • Cricut cart: Hello Kitty Greetings
  • Paper: Bazzill
  • Cuttlebug: D'vine Swirls
  • Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Enamel dots: Homemade
  • Stickles: Xmas Red
  • Adhesive: Scotch, Zig
Come on over to Stuck On You Sketches and give this challenge a try. You can make anything with it, a card, layout, tag, Project Life spread just as long as you follow the theme of "Going Somewhere". And if you do do the challenge and link your project on our page you will have the chance to win a great prize offered by one of our Design Team members. Here is what you can win:

What a great prize! And thank you so much Helen for donating it for this month's gift. So head on over to SOUS and see what the other girls made for this challenge. Thanks so much for looking at my blog and have a great day!

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Yellow

Opps! I'm sorry, but I totally forgot to update this post. Yikes! Where was my brain on Monday? Oh well, better late then never. The challenge this week at Stuck On You Sketches for Project Life was to use the color yellow primarily on the whole spread. I wanted to have various shades of yellow too, but this was not required. I started with my date card which is from Scraptastic's TLN kit along with the bottom right. The top left, middle middle, and bottom left are from my cardstock stash. The middle left and right are from We R Memory Keepers Tangerine kit. I had so much fun with this layout, that I am going to have an try it with other colors as well. This is a very easy spread to do as you can use scrap paper as I did. And as an added bonus for doing this week's challenge you will be entered into a drawing for a great prize from:

You have the chance to win any 3 sets from their store! What a great prize. I hope you will enter this challenge and thank you so much for looking. Have a great weekend. :)

SOUS Project Life Challenge - Stripes

Welcome again to my blog and thanks for coming! Here is my project for the SOUS Project Life Challenge - Stripes. I tried to have stripes on the majority of the page. Stripes can also co,e in different forms like chevron, arrows and just the normal line. On one card I used the stripes as the lines for my writing. Stripes are pretty easy to use and can be a fun addition to your Project Life pages. So get those pages done and uploaded to the SOUS blog so that you have a chance to win a great prize.
While talking to my mom on Mother's Day she call my Project Life my "Life Journaling" and I love it! It totally explains the things I put into my pages. Not just the everyday things but also the things that make up my life all together. So the next time you get out your Project Life to work on it remember that you are not only putting the everyday stuff but the items or ideas that create your life too. Life Journal.
Also don't forget that we have a sponsor this month and it is Paper Bakery!

You will just adore their shop kits and check out their great blog as well! Play in any May challenge on SOUS to be entered to win a $15 store voucher to Paper Bakery Kits! Thank you Paper Bakery for your generosity. And thank you for looking at my blog. I hope you have been inspired to complete your own stripes Project Life spread. Have a great day!
